Merry Christmas to everyone!!! We had a fantastic holiday!!! Grandma & Papa were here and Santa brought WAY too much!!! Ty enjoyed putting cookies & milk out for Santa....Daddy & I weren't as thrilled to make sure Santa ate those!!! Of course the kids were SPOILED by Santa and everyone else!!!!

Week One!!

I have officially survived "Week 1" of my new job!!! Wow it has been a wild few weeks!!!! This week has been like drinking from a fire hose with the amount of information and the size of this project. WOW WOW!!!!!

Figured I would post a few pics of the kids from the past month or so!!

Happy Halloween!!!

I LOVE Halloween (as most of you know)!!! So I figured it was only fitting for me to post some costume pics out here today!!!! Tyler is Super Why (from the pbs kids show) and since Emma's nickname is "Boo", I thought her outfit was perfect!!!!

So we were on our way out to the arboretum to take some family pictures when I turned around to look in the backseat and saw this:

Apparently someone had found a green marker and decided the best canvas around was his own skin!!! UUUGGGHHHHHH!!! So much for family pics that day! :)

Wow time flies!!!

I can't believe I have not updated this site since the end of June. Talk about changes that have occurred.

Ty started preschool and is picking up all kinds of new sayings. One night I came upstairs to find Chad trying to change Ty into his pjs while Ty was jumping on his bed yelling "Show me the money!!!". And another evening I asked Ty how school was that day. With a sigh, he lowered his head and said "I don't want to talk about it." Nothing like the influence of other three year olds.

Emma is almost 6 months old and I have no idea how time has flown by so fast. She is proving to be opposite of Ty when it comes to night time sleeping so the majority of my days I feel like a zombie!!!

Since the end of June, we have had Collin come visit us here (and Chad took the kids camping), we went to CO to visit my parents, went to CA for a work conference (hitting Napa for a little fun as well), have gone apple picking, pumpkin picking, and more. What a fun summer & fall!!!

Ty was thrilled to go fishing with Daddy....that is until he actually caught a bass. Chad had to reel it in and once it started flopping around on the dock, Tyler had had enough!!!

I thought I would post a few pics of Emma smiling. As you can see her face is finally filling out to match her chubby double chin!!!! :)

Can it be 6 weeks?

Emma is now 6 weeks old!!! She is growing like a weed, of course. It's amazing how fast babies change. Ty has been an angel to her. I think the only side effect has been that he is a little more hyper these days....I'm guessing that's his way of trying to gain a little more attention.

All the family has gone home. My parents were here for 6 weeks and Chad's parent's & Collin were here for Memorial Day weekend. GG & Caitlin even made it here for a long weekend!!! So now we will settle in to our new "regular" life.

Welcome Emma Kathyrn Spotts

Emma has finally arrived. She came into the world at 9:07 am on April 21. She was 6 lbs 7 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. She is a TINY peanut compared to Tyler when he was born.

Yeah Porch

Last week it got in to the 80s here! That is INSANE for early April! Ty and I took advantage of the weather, put the cushions on the furniture, and sat outside on the porch!! It felt so great to be outside and getting some fresh air!! Whooo hoooo!!! I plan on spending a lot of maternity leave out there like I did with Ty!!!

Ty's 3rd Birthday

Ty's birthday was a success. We threw a party Saturday night (with mostly adults still) but he got some great gifts!! It was a hilarious preview for our friends that are pregnant now!! Nothing like a crazy kid birthday party to see your future flash before your eyes. Chad tried to get Sunny to "drink some of our water" but she stuck with the wine since it's safer!!! ;)

Then we spent Sunday (yes Easter fell on his bday this year) doing Easter stuff in the morning and then headed out to the arboretum to do the maze and blow bubbles. After nap we walked up to the park to play outside there as well.

Easter Eggs

Since Tyler's birthday is on Easter this year, we made a point to color eggs this past weekend.....try to separate the two a little!!! He wanted to "do it himself" so we let him for the most part. Until I realized the darker colors stained the fingers pretty good and he wanted to dunk his hands in the glasses!!! Then Mommy stepped in a little to limit the staining factor.

Do notice in this second picture the black mark on his eyebrows. That came from him trying to copy mommy and put makeup on his face. Lovely!!!! :)

Unbelievable

So we ordered the baby's dresser from Amazon thinking they are a reputable company and things should be fine. UPS dropped it off looking like this. I AM NOT JOKING!! Did they think this was ok? I could not believe it. Needless to say I sent it back looking the same way (no extra taping it up or anything). I ordered the same dresser from another company so lets see how it arrives this time!!!!!

Hugs for Mommy

Tyler is SUCH the cuddle bug. He loves giving hugs and saying "I LOVE YOU". I hope he stays like that always!!!! I had to post this pic of him hugging me goodbye before work in his SUPER cute jammies. (Grandma got them for him for xmas!!)

Closet Pic & Scary Update

Ok so I finally uploaded the pics of the closet. (I know...so geeky that I LOVE the organization!!!)


Now for the update....after spending a few hours in the hospital on Monday morning, I'm feeling back to normal. I'm only 6 weeks away from her due date and woke up at 2 am Monday with cramping & then threw up a few times. Not sure if they were Braxton Hicks or not but the Dr sent me to the hospital for some fluids. After 2 liters and some zofran, I felt much better. Amazing how hard that sort of stuff can hit you when you are preggers. I assume I was dehydrated or had the stomach bug. Either way, I am back to normal today!!!! YEAH!!!! She needs to stay in there and "bake" a few weeks longer at least!!!!
