Well it has been awhile since I got on here...so I guess I better catch everyone up on what has been going on. Tyler is now a huge help in the kitchen. He assisted Daddy making stromboli about two and a half weeks ago. Good thing we bought the LARGE bag of cheese since the dogs got a good amount off the floor!!!!

We are now navigating the stairs pretty well. Coming down still makes me nervous but Tyler seems to take it slow and careful. Of course that doesn't stop this over-protective mother from having baby gates at both the top and bottom of the staircase!!! I know....NUTJOB!!!! :)

Last week I had the flu and was miserable Mon thru Thurs. The biggest bummer was I missed St. Patrick's Day. I couldn't even have a green beer this year. And after one bite of corned beef, I had to admit defeat and watch everyone else enjoy their dinner. However, as I do every year (whether to my son, husband, or dogs) I was able to embarass someone!! This year it was Tyler!!! Although he didn't seem to complain too much!!!!! ;)

Facebook & Today's date

So I had to talk about both of these things tonight. First of all I have to give a shout out to the fact that Google let us know that today is Dr Seuss's bday. I LOVE Dr. Seuss and if people know me they know that one of my favs is Green Eggs and Ham. I mean come on...how great is that book!!!! For all intents and purposes WHO really eats GREEN eggs??? Let alone ham??? And I read recently there are only something like 50 words in the whole book cause they repeat them so often!!! He was a genius. But now being a mom, I look for Dr Seuss books for Tyler and suddenly there are like 10 different authors all writing under the Seuss name......oh so sad!!! I just can't bring myself to buy fake Seuss books....so I always will stick to the originals!!!!!

The next topic is this whole facebook thing. At first I was weary of it....just another popularity contest to sign up as many friends as possible. But suddenly I was connecting with people I hadn't seen since 5th grade ski school. I pull this EXACT example out cause I am planning lunch with a friend that I was CLOSE with WAY back in time that just happens to be in town this week. Someone that I would have NEVER found other than through Facebook. And I connected with a friend I knew in 4th grade who moved to London and I have not spoken to since highschool. Amazing the outreach this thing has!!! As long as they continue to not pull any nonsense like bad policies or other things like that....this could have a GREAT lifetime!!!

In the meantime, I am looking forward to coffee with Anne and connecting with my other friends from when I was young....carefree....childless...husbandless....had no idea what this wonderful life had to offer!!!!
